Is there a way that I can: 1 - use the old software for the X-Fi Titanium with the new sound card? or 2 - enable more options in the "Enable Mic Effects" drop-down menu so I can add compression, delay, reverb, chorus?īarring either of these, I may have to get a separate microphone effects unit to run through before going into the mic input on the new sound card. The SBX Pro Studio feature on the new card is perfect and I've dialed it in nicely for music/media playback in the room (it runs into a Logitech Z906 5.1 system). The software package for the old card cannot even be installed with the new card detected (and might not have worked with it anyway). (this has NOT had the modification done). This was the 'hot' set-up for DIY-SDR when I bought it.

I have a large.pdf file that shows how to modify it to lower the noise floor for use with an SDR. Here is the link to its description and specifications. The new card, being external and two feet away from the computer, completely solves this. Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi, Surround 5.1 Pro, external sound card.

The reason I don't just move the old card into the new computer is that it had a terrible shortcoming - there was so much RF interference at the sound card that it added a terrible amount of noise into the signal chain. It has a setting for "Enable Mic Effects", but the only option in the drop-down menu is to add "Concert Hall".

Cette carte na jamais donné un son clair, le son crack constamment. Il ny a pas de télécommande et pas le dolby sous windows 10. However, the new card doesn't have this mode. Ce nest pas une Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 pro mais, une Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio karaoké USB. This was amazing and super necessary for my karaoke setup and I thought the new external card would have the same functionality. In this mode, I could add compression, delay and reverb to the microphone (a Shure SM58). It works fine for playing and recording even at the higher bit rates. Now I have a Mac Mini and one day decided to plug it in.

The software had a very desirable feature called Audio Creation Mode. I got that USB sound interface originally for my PC laptop. In the old computer, I had a Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium internal sound card. I added a Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 pro external sound card, but the software has fewer features than my prior Sound Blaster. I just got a new computer (a massive upgrade).
